The Peoria Javelinas improved to 5-2 in Arizona Fall League action on Monday night with an 11-8 win over the Mesa Solar Sox. Two Mets prospects were in action including right-hander Franklin Sanchez showing off his big-time fastball. Mets’ infield prospect Kevin Kendall continued his strong AFL showing as the Javelinas’ leadoff man.
- 2B Kevin Kendall 1-for-3, 3 R, 2 SB, HBP, .400/1.088 OPS
Kendall is the only Mets infield prospect getting consistent playing time to this point and he’s running with it. The left-hander hitter is 8-for-20 with the same amount of walks (five) as strikeouts.
