The Friday night minor league focus was on Triple-A Syracuse with Ronny Mauricio getting the start at DH, Brett Baty at 3B and Dennis Santana taking the start.

Triple-A: Syracuse 10, Scranton-Wilkes/Barre 1, Box Score

Mauricio got the start today at DH, and was one of three Mets to get more than one hit in this wild game that was settled in the 10th inning. The game was tied at 2-2 going into the eighth, and both Syracuse and Scanton-Wilkes/Barre added three runs a piece to keep it tied. Brett Baty and Mauricio both hit home runs in the game, with Mauricio hitting two.

With Francisco Lindor being a late scratch in the Mets game, a window may be opening for playing time.

Today was a bullpen day, with Syracuse sending out six pitchers and only two of the pitchers (William Woods & Adam Kolarek) not getting charged with an earned run but Adam Kolarek blowing the save. Two Syracuse errors proved costly on the day

Double-A: Somerset 9, Binghamton 0, Box Score

Binghamton had its second rough night in a row, this time only mustering two hits and a walk. Luisangel Acuna had two steals to bring him to 48 on the year.

Luis Morena was hit hard today, and when Joey Lancellotti came in to relieve him, he didn’t fare much better.

High-A: Brooklyn 5, Aberdeen 0, Box Score

Ryan Clifford single handedly provided all of the offense that the Cyclones needed and hit his 18th home run of the season

The Mets went 2-for-7 with runners in scoring position.

Florida Complex League: Mets 8, Marlins 4, Box Score

Marco Vargas, playing 2B today went 1-4 at the plate with a walk and a strikeout and Ronald Hernandez went 1-4 with 4 RBI and 2 walks, making the return for the David Robertson trade continually look like a big win for a rental closer.
