Brandon Sproat had his first bad outing in over two months in the Syracuse loss, Jacob Reimer powered the Rumble Ponies to a victory, Brooklyn split its double-header and St. Lucie stole eight bases in their win.
Triple-A
Syracuse Mets (61-56) 2, Rochester Red Wings (45-69) 9
Box Score
- CF Jett Williams – 3-for-3, 2B, BB (1.144 OPS)
- RF Carson Benge – 0-for-3, 1 R, 1 BB, 1 K (.717 OPS)
- SS Luisangel Acuña – 1-for-4, 1 K (.700 OPS)
- LF Ryan Clifford – 1-for-4, RBI (1), K (.444 OPS)
Jett Williams has taken to Triple-A well, notching hits in four of his first 11 at bats including a double and a home run. The trio of recently promoted Mets fielders have all taken well to Syracuse and will definitely aid them in the playoff push.
- RHP Brandon Sproat (4.40 ERA) 3 1/3 IP, 3 H, 6 R (5 ER), 3 BB, 6 K (50 of 90 pitches for strikes)
Brandon Sproat had his worst outing since June 22nd, failing to get out of the fourth inning. He did not have great control today and allowed five earned runs despite only allowing three hits, none of which were home runs. Despite this start, with the struggles in the New York rotation he still may be the next name called up in the event they need a new starter.
Double-A
Binghamton Rumble Ponies (73-35) 9 vs. New Hampshire Fisher Cats (45-64) 7/ FINAL 10 INNINGS
Box Score
- CF A.J. Ewing – 2-for-6, RBI (1), 3 K (.546 OPS)
- 1B Chris Suero – 1-for-5, 2 R, 1 BB, 2 K (.747 OPS)
- 3B Jacob Reimer – 4-for-6, 1 R, 2B, HR (5), 3 RBI (21) (.720 OPS)
- C Kevin Parada – 2-for-4, RBI (43), 1 BB, 2 K (.756 OPS)
After some early season struggles, Kevin Parada has turned his season around, slashing .253/.321/.435 with 30 of his 68 hits going for extra bases. Jacob Reimer has also acclimated quite well and had himself his first four-hit game in Double-A – however defensively he has been rough, with three errors on Thursday.
JACOB REIMER WALK-OFF BOMB!!!! 🤩@Mets No. 6 Prospect goes 4-for-6 on the day and gets Binghamton the comeback win 🎉

- RHP R.J. Gordon (3.97 ERA) 4 2/3 IP, 5 H, 6 R (1 ER), 3 BB, 8 K, 1 HR allowed (54 of 90 pitches for strikes)
- RHP Ryan Lambert (2.23 ERA) 1 IP, 1 H, 1 BB, 2 K
R.J. Gordon was victimized by some poor defense, with five unearned runs being allowed while he was pitching. Despite this, he still struck out eight batters. Ryan Lambert continues to mow down hitters but has been hit harder and walked more hitters since his promotion.
High-A
GAME 2
Brooklyn Cyclones (63-47) 6, Hub City Spartanburgers (54-56) 3/ 7 INNINGS
Box Score
- SS Marco Vargas 2-for-4, 2 R, HR (1), 3 RBI (36) (.636 OPS)
- LF Eli Serrano III 0-for-3, 1 R (.709 OPS)
- 2B Colin Houck, 1-for-2, 2B, 1 R, 1 RBI (11), 1 BB, 1 K (.543 OPS)
Marco Vargas hit his first home run of the 2025 season for Brooklyn, and despite the numbers he has put together a solid season that was mostly uninterrupted by injuries. Vargas still has strong plate discipline and a utility-profile, but he will need to put some of those doubles in the seats to fully capitalize on his potential. Only 15 of his 89 hits this season have gone for extra bases across two levels. Eli Serrano III had two outfield assists, showing off his strong arm
LET’S GO HOME HAPPY!

- RHP Noah Hall (2.20 ERA) 3 1/3 IP, 7 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 5 K (43 of 71 pitches for strikes)
Hall was very hittable against Hub City, needing 71 pitches to get himself into the fourth inning. Still, he has put together a very solid first full professional season to put himself within the Mets Top-10 pitching prospects.
GAME 1
Brooklyn Cyclones (64-47) 2, Hub City Spartanburgers (54-55) 5
Box Score
- DH Marco Vargas – 0-for-4, 1 K (.620 OPS)
- 2B Boston Baro – 0-for-3, 1 K (.603 OPS)
- CF Eli Serrano III – 1-for-3, 2B (.712 OPS)
- SS Colin Houck – 2-for-3, 2B 1 K (.523 OPS)
In game two, the Cyclones managed three extra base hits but could only get two runners to cross home plate. Ronald Hernandez went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and a double, possibly becoming the best player the Mets received in the 2023 David Robertson trade.
- RHP Franklin Gomez (2.03 ERA) 5 IP, 5 H, 5 R (1 ER) 2 BB, 5 K
Franklin Gomez was solid, but his defense was not – four unearned runs were allowed which would be the deciding factor in the game. Hoss Brewer has allowed a .235 batting average since his promotion, but is still striking out nearly a batter an inning.
Low-A
St. Lucie Mets (67-43) 6, Jupiter Hammerheads (48-63) 4
Box Score
- LF John Bay – 0-for-2, 1 R, 1 BB, 1 SB (3), 1 K (.949 OPS)
- 2B Trey Snyder – 1-for-4, 2 K (.637 OPS)
- DH Mitch Voit – 1-for-5, 1 R, 3 SB (9), 1 K (.514 OPS)
- SS Jeremy Rodriguez – 1-for-4, 1 K (.567 OPS)
St. Lucie was running with reckless abandon on Thursday, stealing eight bases while only being caught once. Mitch Voit has struggled with the bat, but has made his presence known by swiping nine bags.
- RHP Jonathan Jimenez (1.26 ERA) 4 IP, 4 H, 2 R (1 ER), 1 BB, 4 K (37 of 54 pitches for strikes)
Jonathan Jimenez has been sneaky good, striking out nearly a batter an inning while keeping the walks down. Omar Victorino has struck out 48 in 51 and two-third innings, but has walked 30.
