On the night Jonah Tong earned his promotion to the big leagues, the Mets’ farm system had more to celebrate – capped off by Nick Roselli’s walk-off homer for the Brooklyn Cyclones.

Triple-A

Syracuse Mets (64-63) 4, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (75-49) 9

BOX SCORE

Jett Williams walked twice and stole his first Triple-A base, but has seen his OPS drop sharply since his hot start. Syracuse hit five home runs on Sunday. Ryan Clifford was placed on the temporarily inactive list.

Since returning from the injured list, Waddell has struggled, giving up at least two earned runs in every outing since rejoining Syracuse’s rotation.

Double-A

Binghamton Rumble Ponies (79-40) 8, Somerset Patriots (62-59) 1

BOX SCORE

Jacob Reimer delivered his second straight three-hit game, driving in two runs to push his OPS to .867. The 21-year-old has emerged as one of the standouts in the Mets’ system this season.

  • RHP R.J. Gordon 5 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 8 K (3.13 ERA0

Gordon has been a model of consistency between Brooklyn and Binghamton this season, posting ERAs of 3.06 and 3.13, respectively. The Oregon product boasts solid strikeout stuff (10.1 K/9) with a low walk rate (3.5 BB/9).

High-A

Brooklyn Cyclones (69-52) 10, Hudson Valley Renegades (72-46) 9

BOX SCORE

  • RF Nick Roselli 2-for-3, 2 R, HR (1), 2B, 4 RBI, 2 BB (.514 OPS)
  •  3B Colin Houck 2-for-3, 2 R, RBI, BB, K (.590 OPS)
  • SS Marco Vargas 2-for-4, 2 RBI, BB, 2 K

After surrendering the lead in the eighth and falling to their final out in the ninth, the Cyclones rallied with a single and a walk before Nick Roselli capped it with a walk-off three-run homer.

  • RHP Brett Banks 1 IP, 1 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 2 K (2.49 ERA)

Though he scuffled on Tuesday, Banks has quietly been one of the more effective arms in the system this year. Since his promotion to High-A Brooklyn on June 20, he’s allowed just six earned runs across 20 appearances.

Low-A

St. Lucie Mets (72-48) 5, Lakeland Flying Tigers (69-48) 4

BOX SCORE

Guzman has torched Low-A pitching this season, slashing .317/.377/.587 with a .964 OPS and 11 extra-base hits in just 17 games. Voit had a heck of a game from the defensive side.

Though Alvarez battled command at times with three walks on Tuesday, the 23-year-old flashed electric stuff, featuring a fastball that sat around 98 mph.
