As of 9:00am EST today, here are today’s Mets minor league starting pitchers:

Oklahoma City Red Hawks @ Las Vegas 51s, 10:05pm EST
Jake Buchanan (4-2, 3.00 ERA) vs. Rafael Montero (3-3, 3.88 ERA)
Now this is the Montero we were used to seeing in Double-A. The right-hander turned in his best start since getting promoted to Las Vegas on August 4th against Memphis. He allowed one run on four hits, no walks, and four strikeouts in eight innings pitched for the victory. It was the first time he hadn’t walked a batter in a start since July 11th, and his streak of walking at least three in a start has halted at three starts.
Binghamton Mets @ Erie Sea Wolves, 7:05pm EST
Noah Syndergaard (5-0, 1.98 ERA) vs. Drew VerHagen (2-3, 2.40 ERA)
Syndergaard was dominant on August 4th against Harrisburg, allowing two hits, one walk, and three strikeouts in five shutout innings. He owns a 1.00 WHIP to go with 49 strikeouts in 41 innings pitched since being promoted to Double-A. Between Binghamton and St. Lucie, he now has a single-season career-high in innings pitched (104.2). The Mets have been limiting his innings, and he’ll likely be shut down around the 130 inning mark.
Palm Beach Cardinals @ St. Lucie Mets, 6:30pm EST
TBD vs TBD
St. Lucie got rained out once again in their series finale against Bradenton. The probable starters tonight at Tradition Field haven’t been announced yet.
Hickory Crawdads @ Savannah Sand Gnats, 6:05pm EST
Frank Lopez (2-6, 5.55 ERA) vs. Seth Lugo (0-0, 1.50 ERA)
Lugo is making his second start with Savannah since getting the call from Brooklyn. His first start on August 4th against Greenville couldn’t have gone much better, unless he ended up with the win. He allowed one run on two hits, no walks, and 10 strikeouts in six innings pitched, earning the no decision.
State College Spikes @ Brooklyn Cyclones, 6:00pm EST
TBD vs. John Gant (3-2, 2.47 ERA)
Gant earned his second win in as many starts on August 3rd against Jamestown. The right-hander allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits, three walks, and five strikeouts in five innings pitched. Gant has been a consistent performer this season; he’s thrown at least five innings in each of his eight starts in 2013. He’s real tough to hit at home; he’s 2-0 with a 0.82 ERA and .162 opponent batting average at MCU Park.
Kingsport Mets @ Greeneville Astros, 6:00pm EST
Andrew Massie (1-1, 4.39 ERA) vs. Jandel Gustave (2-2, 1.63 ERA)
Massie takes the mound following his first loss of the season against Johnson City on August 2nd. The right-hander allowed four runs on five hits (one home run), three walks, and two strikeouts in 4.2 innings pitched. He’s performed much better on the road than at home; in Kingsport, he’s 0-1 with a 12.46 ERA and .345 opponent batting average in seven innings pitched. On the road, he’s 1-0 with a 1.37 ERA and .152 opponent batting average in 19.2 innings.
GCL Mets @ GCL Nationals, 10:00am EST
The Mets finish out their week with a second straight game against the Nationals. The probable starters haven’t been announced yet.
