Chase Ford on Twitter reports that the Mets organization is promoting two prospects, infielder Boston Baro and catcher Ronald Hernandez, from the Low-A St. Lucie Mets to the High-A Brooklyn Cyclones.
Both of these prospects debuted last year for the Mets complex team but by separate ways. Baro was a 2023 draft pick, and Hernandez was acquired alongside Marco Vargas in the David Robertson deal from the Marlins.
Twenty-year-old Baro has posted a 122 wRC+ with a .368 OBP in 370 PAs this year with St. Lucie, while twenty-year-old Hernandez has posted a 113 wRC+ paired with a .362 OBP in 403 PAs.
Ford also reports that young catcher Daiverson Gutierrez is being promoted to St. Lucie. The 19-year-old has a .974 OPS between the DSL and FCL Mets this season.
