Mets right-handed minor leaguer Christian Scott, who leads the minor leagues in strikeouts with 26 in 14 1/3 innings, was moved today into Baseball America’s top 100 prospect list.

Scott makes the list at No. 100 and joins fellow Mets minor leaguers IF Jett Williams (No. 30), IF Ronny Mauricio (No. 87) and OF Drew Gilbert (No. 91).

Scott, who has a 3.77 ERA and a 0.91 WHIP over three starts at Triple-A Syracuse, was selected by the Mets in the fifth round of the June 2021 draft out of the University of Florida. He was one of several Mets minor leaguers to shine on Tuesday night.

Scott, 24, is the fifth ranked Mets prospect, according to MLB Pipeline. He was named the Mets organization’s Minor League Pitcher of the Year in 2023. He threw five innings in spring training, striking out eight and giving up two runs on three hits and one walk.

Before the season, Scott was No. 98 on FanGraphs’ prospect list, No. 99 on ESPN and No. 88 on Baseball Prospectus.
