Mexican Pacific League (LMP)

Yaquis de Obregon 2 – 1 Charros de Jalisco
Venados de Mazatlan 3 – 1 Naranjeros de Hermosillo
Mayos de Navojoa 6 – 2 Aguilas de Mexicali
Tomateros de Culiacan 13 – 2 Caneros de Los Mochis

Terdoslavich’s deep LIDOM slump seems to have followed him over to Mexico as he is now 1-for-16 to start his LMP career with seven strikeouts in his last thirteen plate appearances. There are still two weeks left in the LMP season and the Tomateros have already locked up a playoff spot, by virtue of being the best team in the first half of the season, so there is no immediate concern for Terdoslavich. He’ll have to pick it up though if he hopes to remain on the team for the playoffs, as well as, if he wants a minor league contract from someone in 2019.

On the Caneros side, Uriarte entered the game in the bottom of the seventh inning, after the game was well out of hand, and struck out in both of his plate appearances. His season line now stands at 1-for-17 (.059 AVG) with two runs scored, one RBI, and six strikeouts. Its pretty disappointing considering the LMP is viewed as an Advanced A-ball level organization and Uriarte was viewed as ready for Short-Season A-ball level work this past season.

Venezuelan Winter League (LVBP)

Leones del Caracas 8 – 5 Caribes de Anzoategui
Navegantes del Magallanes 5 – 4 Aguilas de Zulia
Tiburones de la Guaira 5 – 4 Cardenales de Lara
Tigres de Aragua 6 – 2 Bravos de Margarita

Dominican Winter League (LIDOM)

Toros del Este 5 – 3 Gigantes del Cibao
Estrellas Orientales 5 – 2 Leones del Escogido

Despite the LIDOM season ending on Monday, the Estrellas made a roster move adding Pobereyko to their active roster. Making his debut last night, Pobereyko tossed a inning of work allowing a single while struck two MLB caliber players (Erik Gonzalez and Carlos Asuaje). With the Estrellas having already clinched a playoff spot, there is a chance we could continue to see Pobereyko a few more times over the next few weeks. With more and more MLB caliber talent in the LIDOM right now, a strong showing here for him could encourage the Mets to skip (AA) Binghamton and send him up to (AAA) Syracuse despite only having eight innings of work in his career above the Advanced A-ball level.

Tigres del Licey 2 – 1 Aguilas Cibaenas

After a week of limited inning gameplay, Juan Lagares logged his first full game in the field last night for the Aguilas registering two easy put-outs in center field. Lagares registered his only base hit of the day during an Aguilas rally in the top of the sixth inning. On a 2-2 pitch, Lagares reached for a pitch down in the zone and pulled it down the left field line for a double.

On the other side of the field, Jenrry Mejia got the start for the Toros and tossed five innings of solid work. The only time he got in trouble was in the top of the fourth inning with two outs in the inning when he allowed three straight singles which scored a run. Mejia would get out of the inning though by getting Lagares to a fly out to right field.

Roberto Clemente Puerto Rico League (LBPRC)

Canegrejeros de Santurce – Criollos de Caguas [Postponed due to Power Outages]
Gigantes del Cibao 4 – 1 Indios de Mayaguez
