In the 2010 Draft, the Mets chose Duke University pitcher Jeremy Gould in the 28th Round with the 842nd overall pick.
Gould was in the Mets organization from 2010-2012 and progressed as high as the Class A Savannah Sand Gnats.
After signing with the team, he played during the 2010 season in rookie ball with the Gulf Coast Mets and appeared in 13 games with a 1-2 record with a 3.33 ERA with one save. He pitched 17 1/3 innings, allowing 14 hits, walking seven and striking out 11 with a 1.21 WHIP. He spent the 2011 season with the (A-) Brooklyn Cyclones and appeared in 26 games with a record of 1-3 and an 3.26 ERA with five saves. He pitched 30 1/3 innings allowing 30 hits, walking 10 and striking out 46 with a WHIP of 1.32.
In 2012, he appeared in only five games between the Cyclones and the Sand Gnats, posting a combined record of 0-0 with a 5.40 ERA and one save. In 6 2/3 innings, he allowed five hits, three walks , and struck out four with a 1.20 WHIP. He was released by the Mets on July 10, 2012.
For his career, he posted a combined 2-5 record with a 3.86 ERA and seven saves in 44 games. He pitched 54 1/3 innings, allowing 49 hits, walking 20 and striking out 61 with a WHIP of 1.27.
In September 2012, Gould was on the roster for Team Israel in the 2012 World Baseball Classic Qualifier, but did not pitch.
In November 2012, the San Diego Padres signed him to a minor league contract and later released him on March 20, 2013.
