2015 Season Review: Dominican Summer League Mets 1

The Dominican Summer League Mets #1 went 33-39 in the Boca Chica South Division during the 2015 season. They were managed by former big league outfielder Manny Martinez, former Major League infielder Leo Hernandez was the pitching coach, and former Met Manny Aybar was the pitching coach.

The DSL Mets offense was below average last year scoring 4.94 per game compared the league average of 5.02 per game. The Mets were not successful on the base paths stealing 5th fewest in the league out of 36 teams (62) while being caught 45 times.

The pitching staff for the Mets allowed 5.53 runs per game (4.23 ERA) compared to the league average of 5.02 runs allowed per game. They had a 1.438 WHIP and 1.79 SO/W, both of which were in the bottom third of the league.

Lagrange, 20, was the DSL Mets Sterling Award Winner (MVP) in his first season of professional baseball. He hit .347/.404/.417 overall between the two DSL Mets teams in 2015.
