Thomas Szapucki continues to show up on the radar, being named to the MiLB Pipeline Prospect Team of the Week. The third such honor for the #8 ranked prospect in the Mets system according to MiLB. A feat that would be impressive on its own, even more so when you consider his season is not even seven weeks old.

He was honored for the latest of his string of dominant performances, which you can read about here. Szapucki struck out 10 in seven innings of two-hit baseball in the tough luck loss.

On the season the 2015 fifth-round draft pick has 65 strikeouts in 41.1 innings between two levels. With a total of 36 baserunners (22 hits, 12 walks, 1 HBP) his WHIP sits at 0.847, and has allowed a total of two earned runs giving him a 0.44 ERA.

Since he was promoted to Brooklyn on July 21, he has yet to allow an earned run and struck out 18 in 12.1 innings while holding opponents to a .140 BAA.
