The Salt River Rafters won yesterday 9-4 over the Scottsdale Scorpions to improve to 6-5 in the early going of the Arizona Fall League.

Dominic Smith continued his great fall season going 1 for 3 with two walks, RBI, run scored and another double. He is now slashing .519/.639/.741 with three doubles and nine walks in 27 at bats for the Rafters. St. Lucie Mets teammate Jeff McNeil had a nice game too going 2 for 4 with a walk and run scored while playing third base. He is now hitting .273/.333/.273 in 22 at bats.

Before the game Mets second base prospect L.J. Mazzilli was added to the Rafters roster. He had a rough season that started with serving a 50-game suspension before hitting just .261/.332/.342 in 357 at bats mostly with the Binghamton Mets. Mazzilli is actually returning to the AFL for the second straight season after slashing .306/.433/.469 for Scottsdale in 2014.
