Peoria Javelinas (12-8) 4 – Scottsdale Scorpions (10-9-1) 2
Box Score

3B David Thompson 1-5, R, K, GIDP

Thompson would play a key role in a two run first inning rally for the Scorpions singling and scoring a run.  After that Thompson was unable to deliver in clutch situations.  He twice came up with a runner in scoring position, and he was unable to deliver the key hit.  In the ninth, he stunted a rally by grounding into a double play.  This is indicative of Thompson’s struggles after his last start with him going three for his last 22.

LF Kevin Kaczmarski 3-5, RBI

Kaczmarksi continued his six game hitting streak, and he had his fifth multi-hit game in 13 games this season.  Overall, Kaczmarski is now hitting .396/.439/.509 with three doubles, a homer, and eight RBI.

RHP Tim Peterson 2.0 IP, BB, K

With the score tied at 2-2, Peterson came on, and he pitched a scoreless seventh and eighth.  With this appearance, Peterson lowered his already low ERA to 1.23, and his WHIP is down to 0.956.
