Scottsdale Scorpions (9-8-1) 6 – Glendale Desert Dogs (8-10) 2
Box Score

LF Kevin Kaczmarski 1-4, R, RBI, 2 K

Even if Kaczmarski’s bat has cooled off a bit, he still has a five game hitting streak, and he was in the middle of the two key rallies yesterday.  With the Scorpions rallying after falling down 2-0 in the top of the fourth, Kaczmarksi came up and delivered an RBI single to tie the game at 2-2.  In the sixth, Kaczmarski would strike out, but a wild pitch would both allow him to reach first and a run to score.  Later that inning, he’d made a good read on a soft line drive allowing him to go from first to third, and he would eventually score that inning to give the Scorpions a 6-2 lead.

LHP Kyle Regnault 1.0 IP, 3 K

Regnault came on in the eighth, and he gave the Desert Dogs no chance to even think about getting into the game striking out the side.  With this dominant appearance, Regnault has a great 12.5 K/9.  This isn’t the big outlier you may think it is with him posting a 9.2 K/9 with his work between Binghamton and Las Vegas this past season.

RHP Matt Pobereyko 1.0 IP, K

Pobereyko similarly dominated the Desert Dogs recording one strikeout as he finished the game out for the Scorpions.  With yet another dominating performance under his belt, Pobereyko has yet to allow an earned run in 7.2 innings of work.  His peripheral numbers are just as phenomenal with him recording an 11.9 K/9, 10:1 K/BB ratio, 0.652 WHIP, and a .185 batting average against.
