Amed Rosario is playing for the Aguilas Cibaenas in the Dominican Winter League this offseason. They have played two preseason games and Amed has gone 4 for 5 including going 2 for 2 with a stolen base off Jenrry Mejia yesterday. Here you can watch Rosario’s base hit and stole base.
Mets outfield prospect John Mora is also playing on the Aguilas, he had a double in the first game and a walk yesterday. Here is video of him and Rosario batting yesterday vs Tigres del Licey.
Mejia got the start for Licey, pitching three innings giving up three earned runs.
I’d love to see Rosario start in Binghamton for ’16. I think that’s the plan. It should be fun to watch.
I think that will be the plan for sure, will be a great test for him and I have already seen the B’Mets schedule and picked out four games I will be going to in first couple of weeks. Would be awesome to see Rosario and Smith.
I need to check out that schedule. Binghamton’s not that far away, and I think I want to check out next year’s team. I might just wait until they come to Harrisburg. But yeah, if he starts next year in Binghamton, I expect some struggle, but lots of growth.
