Arizona Fall League (AFL)

Scottsdale Scorpions (6-4) 17, Caneros de los Mochis 0 Box Score

This game was well out of hand by the time Gimenez got in on the scoring action. With the Scorpions already up 10-0 in the seventh inning, Gimenez added another run with a sharp ground-ball base hit through the right side of the infield to make it 11-0. The next inning, the Scorpions rallied for six more runs as Gimenez added two more RBI’s to his tally with a line drive single to center field.

Mexican Pacific League (LMP)

Scottsdale Scorpions (6-4) 17, Caneros de los Mochis 0 Box Score

Making his first start of the pre-season for the Caneros, Uriarte failed to make a good impression as he fights for a starting job. Offensively, he failed to get the ball out of the infield, as he grounded into a double play in the second inning and grounded out to the pitcher to lead off the fifth. Defensively, he allowed two stolen bases and a passed ball.
