Andrew Brown, who was called up from Las Vegas on Wednesday to restore the bench to its customary five players, hit his second home run on the season and drove in two runs, during Thursday’s game against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field.
Brown started the season with the Mets and batted just .185, with a home run and five RBI’s in 27 at bats and prior to his return to the big club, he was batting .359, with 13 home runs, and 31 RBI’s with Vegas.
His two-run home run in the 7th inning, would tie the game at 4-4, but the Mets would eventually lose 7-4. Brown finished the game 1 for 3, with two runs scored, two RBI’s and a walk.
