I am never one who mentions errors made by people like yourself who take the time to provide me with information, which is appreciated. However, I just have to make note of this one because it is entertaining! ‘Knucklebread morealler’… Sounds like a candy from the 1920’s or something.
What’s your take on Jannis, Michael? Think he could blossom into being legit in the MLB?
LOL that is actually pretty funnym have no idea how the heck that happened. Too early to tell on Jannis, I haven’t seen enough of him to get a good read. Needs to get better control of the knuckleball for sure, walks too many guys.
Also could help to learn a different speed on the knuckler, generally in the 74-78 MPH range with his.
Ah yeah, that’s what made Dickey so effective I think is that he had two speeds on the knuckle and then his fastball for a show me pitch. Did Jannis have a history as a regular FB pitcher who maybe can still throw that like Dickey did?
Here is a great article on Jannis that was just written. http://m.mets.mlb.com/news/article/156984276/mickey-jannis-uses-knuckleball-to-save-career?topicid=153494546
