Binghamton Mets reliever Chase Huchingson took to Twitter today to voice his take on the recent development in the Miami-based Biogenesis investigation that is at the heart of one of the biggest performance-enhancing drug scandals in sports history.

Huchingson’s teammate, Mets top outfield prospect Cesar Puello is among the 14 players specifically mentioned by name Tuesday night in T.J. Quinn of ESPN’s “Outside The Lines” report, that Major League Baseball will look to target for severe penalties in potential connections with Biogenesis and its founder Tony Bosch, who is now aiding MLB in their investigation.

Many players who have teammates under specific investigation be it at the major or minor league level, tend to keep their opinions to themselves regarding the situation for a number of reasons, however Huchingson clearly did not hold back his thoughts regarding PEDs.

Given that Huchingson is not on the 40-man roster, he does not yet have ties to the MLB Player’s Association, and therefore isn’t under the same restrictions as major-league ballplayers. Either way, it was refreshing to see a player at any level of professional baseball speak out against the use of performance-enhancing drugs in a public forum like Twitter.
