Mets first round draft pick Brett Baty has gotten off to a hot start. Over his first four games, he was hitting .400/.550/.600. He was doing just about everything at the plate but homer. Today, he homered:

That homer came off of Kyle Serrano, who had not allowed a homer in his professional career and had not allowed a homer going back to 2015, which was his sophomore year of college.

With the homer today, Baty now has a hit in all five of his professional games and an extra base hit in four of those five games. He has also drawn a walk in four straight.

So far, Baty has displayed what Baseball America has rated to be 70 power. He now has his first homer under his belt with many more likely on the way.
