The Brooklyn Cyclones announced that 2019 first round Brett Baty and 2019 third rounder Matthew Allan has been added to their roster as they make a playoff push.

Baty, 19, is hitting .234/.350/.457 with 14 doubles, two triples, seven home runs, and 31 RBI in 46 pro games. He’s struggled a bit with Kingsport in 41 games (.764 OPS) though he’s hitting .357 with seven extra base hits in his last 10 games.

The third baseman was the 12th overall pick this year from Lake Travis High School in Texas.

Allan, 18, will join Brooklyn after pitching to a 1.08 ERA in 8 1/3 innings for the Gulf Coast League Mets. In that span, he allowed five hits, walked four, and struck out 11.

The right-hander from Florida was seen as a first round talent though his rumored asking price for a signing bonus made him available for the Mets in the third round of the June draft.

Cyclones also announced that outfielder Kenedy Corona and reliever Reyson Santos will join them as well. Brooklyn begins the day tied for the division lead with five games left to go in the New York-Penn League.
