Syracuse Mets outfielder Carlos Gomez was removed from tonight’s game against the Louisville Bats after he hit a three run homer in the third inning:

The homer was Gomez’s fifth over his last nine games. In 34 games for Syracuse, he is hitting .268/.328/.480 with five homers and 19 RBI.
With Michael Conforto suffering a concussion in this afternoon’s game against the Washington Nationals, it appears Gomez may be called up to the majors. If the Mets were to do that, they would need to make a move with their 40 man roster.
