Toby Hyde has reported on twitter that Gavin Cecchini left the first game of the yesterdays doubleheader for the Gnats because of a pulled left hamstring. Cecchini, who already had a triple in the game, was cruising into second base when he seemed to pull up on it and was removed from the game. He did not play the second game of the doubleheader.

Cecchini is batting .259 this year for the Gnats where he is almost one and a half years below the average age in that league. His slugging percentage is a solid .406.

A sprained ankle sidelined Cecchini for a chunk of his 2013 campaign. We will update this post as soon as more information is reported.
