The Peoria Javelinas suffered defeat in blowout fashion on Thursday afternoon, losing 11-3 against the Scottsdale Scorpions to drop to 12-13 on the season. Box Score

Two Mets prospects featured in the starting lineup, and two prospects made an appearance as a relief pitcher.

Kendall and Consuegra both failed to record a hit, but Kendall was able to reach base on a walk.

Kendall is hitting just .219 with a .664 OPS after a promising start to the season for the Javelinas. Consuegra is right at the Mendoza Line with a .200 batting average.

Sanchez was the first reliever out of the bullpen for the Javelinas, brought on in the fifth inning in relief of starter Hunter Stanley. Sanchez allowed an inherited runner to score and saw another run cross the plate on an error in the fifth before allowing another run to score in the sixth.

Josh Walker was brought in to finish out the sixth inning but immediately allowed an RBI double that closed the book on Sanchez’s night. Walker walked the next batter, then rebounded to record a strikeout that would end his outing.

The Javelinas held an early 2-0 lead through an Angel Martínez first inning home run, but by the end of the sixth inning the Scorpions had jumped out to an insurmountable 9-3 advantage. They tacked on two more runs, closing out the game in the ninth for a comfortable win.

The Javelinas will look to get back on track when they host the Mesa Solar Sox on Friday at 3:35PM ET.
