Mets pitching prospect Nabil Crismatt has continued his pleasantly surprising march through the Mets minor league system with his being promoted to Triple-A Las Vegas.
The Eastern League All-Star earned the promotion after pitching well from Double-A Binghamton. In 16 starts, Crismatt is 8-5 with a 3.58 ERA, 1.237 WHIP, and a 9.1 K/9.
What makes these stats and the All Star nod all the more impressive is this is just Crismatt’s second full season as a starting pitcher. Previously, the undrafted free agent impressed so much in the bullpen it led to the Mets giving him a chance to show he could succeed as a starting pitcher.
Now, Crismatt and his excellent change-up will be on display as the 24 year old looks to tackle the Pacific Coast League.
