Terry Collins has Daniel Murphy penciled into the lineup today as the Mets host the St. Louis Cardinals at Tradition Field at 1:10 p.m. Murphy last played in a game last Friday, when he injured his right shin on an aggressive slide into second base attempting to break up a double play.

John Lannan gets the start against the Cards a day after Terry Collins admitted he’s likely headed to the bullpen as the team’s second left-hander alongside Scott Rice. Lannan opposes right-hander Carlos Martinez.

Here are today’s starting lineups:

More Notes:

Adam Rubin of ESPN New York writes that Ike Davis again was spotted Tuesday morning navigating the clubhouse in a walking boot.

Terry Collins feels that both Davis and Lucas Duda could be ready for game action by Thursday, even if it means they play in minor league camp.

“They did stuff inside today, some movement drills — both he and Ike,” Collins said on Tuesday. “We’re hoping that they do it again tomorrow. And then we’re hoping on Thursday maybe at least get them into minor-league camp and DH them.”
