The Arizona Fall League will be hosting the third annual Bowman Hitting Challenge tonight at 9:35 ET. The challenge includes one hitter from each MLB team and first base prospect Dominic Smith will be the Mets representative.

The hitters try to earn points by either hitting homeruns or stationery objects set up in the outfield which includes oversized Bowman cards. You can find the full rules here. Would love to see MLB do something like this with it’s top hitters during the All-Star break.

Smith is playing for the Salt River Rafters in the AFL and has gone 3-5 with two doubles and four walks in two games to start the season. The Florida State League Player of the Year hit .305/.354/.417 for the St. Lucie Mets this year while leading the league with 33 doubles and 79 RBI.
