Cesar Puello

Adam Rubin reports that outfield prospect Cesar Puello, who was placed on the temporarily inactive list last week by Las Vegas, quietly traveled to Miami during his absence for a Biogenesis-related matter, multiple sources told ESPNNewYork.com.

According to an ESPN report, a federal grand jury in Miami is looking into charges against Biogenesis founder Tony Bosch.

A source also tells ESPN that there is no indication that Puello, is in any trouble, and his trip to Miami does not appear related to anything MLB may be continuing to pursue.

Puello, 23, completed his 50-game suspension last year for his Biogenesis involvement.

The outfield prospect resumed playing baseball on Friday and since is 3 for 11, with three runs scored, a double and a walk.
