Fireflies’ Nabil Crismatt Named SAL Pitcher of the Week

Nabil Crismatt is the latest pitcher in the Mets organization to be honored by MiLB. Crismatt has been named the South Atlantic League Pitcher of the Week.

In just his second start for the full season Columbia Fireflies, Crismatt pitched seven shutout innings, allowing four baserunners (2 singles, 2 walks) to reach first base while striking out 10 in the process. He exited the game after 100 pitches with an outstanding game score of 84.

On the season between Brooklyn and Columbia, has an 0-2 record, and a save to go with a 2.62 ERA, recording an impressive 52 strikeouts in 44.2 innings. The MMN mid-season #43 prospect, has held opposing hitters to a .193 BAA, with only six walks permitted for a 0.85 WHIP.

The honor for Crismatt is the fifth time this season a Mets affiliated pitcher has won the award. Joining fellow hurlers, Ricky Knapp, PJ Conlon, and Rafael Montero, who has won twice at two different levels.
