The Binghamton Rumble Ponies have had five players named as 2019 Eastern League All-Stars. Their five players are the second most from any Eastern League team. Those five players were RHP Harol Gonzalez, 2B Sam Haggerty, OF Braxton Lee, C/1B Patrick Mazeika, and RHP Adonis Uceta.

Gonzalez is 3-3 with a 3.41 ERA, 1.136 WHIP, 2.6 BB/9, and an 8.9 K/9 in 11 starts and one relief appearance this season. He was named the Eastern League Pitcher of the Week for the week ending May 12, 2019. He was previously named a Mid-Season and Post-Season New York-Penn League All-Star in 2016, and he was named an MiLB.com Organizational All-Star that same year.

In 39 games, Haggerty is hitting .288/.415/.417 with four doubles, four triples, two homers, and eight RBI, and he is 14/17 in stolen base attempts. Haggerty is currently third in the Eastern League in triples and fourth in the league in stolen bases. He was previously named a 2017 Midseason and Postseason All-Star when he was a member of the Cleveland Indians organization.

In 57 games for Binghamton, Lee is hitting .287/.366/.372 with nine doubles, two triples, one homer and 24 RBI, and he is 4/8 in stolen base attempts. Lee is sixth in the league in batting average and seventh in OBP. In 2017, Lee was named a Midseason and Postseason Southern League All-Star when he was a member of the Rays organization. That same year, he was also named a member of the Arizona Fall League’s All Prospect Team.

In 59 games for Binghamton, Mazeika is hitting .250/.314/.409 with 14 doubles, seven homers, and 40 RBI. Behind the plate, he has thrown out 17 of 32 base stealers (57 percent). Mazeika is currently ranked sixth in the league in RBI. Mazeika was named the Eastern League Player of the Week for the week ending May 19, 2019. He was previously named a Florida State League (2017) All Star and a Appalachian League (2015) and Florida State League (2017) All-Star.

Uceta has made 18 relief appearances and one start for Binghamton going 3-2 with two saves, a 2.51 ERA, 1.052 WHIP, 2.8 BB/9, and an 8.6 K/9. Uceta was previously named a DSL (2014) and South Atlantic League (2017) Mid-Season All-Star. He was also named a MiLB.com Organizational All-Star in 2017.

Binghamton’s best player this season, Anthony Kay, was not named an All-Star despite his leading the league in ERA, complete games, and shutouts while being the top ten in wins and WHIP. It should be noted Kay was promoted to Triple-A Syracuse before the All-Star rosters were announced.
