Flexen Drops Fifth Game As Charleston Pounds Savannah 10-3

Jeff McNeil went 2-for-3 in loss, with a double, run scored and improved his average to .341.

Game two of the four game series between the Savannah Sand Gnats and the Charleston RiverDogs was played in front of 1,701 f fans Sunday afternoon at Grayson Stadium.

Two home runs by RiverDogs third-baseman Miguel Andujar, helped to power Charleston to a 10-3 victory over Savannah.

In the third inning, Charleston scored their first run when center fielder Michael O’Neil singled, stole second, and scored when first baseman Mike Ford hit an RBI-double. With two men on base in the fifth inning, after a single and a walk, Andujar hit his second home run on the season over the left field fence.

A single run was scored in the sixth inning and in the seventh, Ford walked and Andujar unleashed his second home run of the game over the left field fence. In the ninth inning, three singles and a double gave the RiverDogs three runs additional runs, this time off Sand Gnats reliever, Robert Coles.

Savannah scored their three runs in the sixth inning, when center fielder Champ Stuart walked and moved to second on a single by the hot hitting third baseman, Jeff McNeil. A walk to shortstop L.J. Mazzilli loaded the bases. Then first baseman Dominic Smith drove in two runs with a single.  Right fielder Victor Cruzado drove in the third run with a single.
