Four B-Mets Selected To Eastern League All-Star Game

Brian BurgamyKyle Johnson and right-handed pitchers Cody Satterwhite and Jon Velasquez have been selected to represent the B-Mets in the Eastern League All-Star Game.

Burgamy,33,  who is in his first season with the Mets organization, is batting .258, with 45 runs, 18 doubles, 14 home runs, and 52 RBI’s in 275 at bats.

Johnson, 25, is in his second season with the organization, after arriving in the trade that sent Collin Cowgill to the Angels. In 244 at bats, he is batting, .283, with 47 runs, 18 doubles, three triples, four homes runs and 34 RBI’s.

Satterwhite, 27, also in his second year with the organization is currently 3-1, with a 1.60 ERA, 42 strike outs in 39.1 innings.  He has appeared in 30 games, has six saves and has held is opponents to a .188 batting average.

Velasquez, 28, who is in his first season in pro ball since 2010 and first with the organization, is currently 4-2, with a 3.20 ERA, and has 37 strike outs in 39.1 innings.
