Mets Coach Frank Viola is resting comfortably after undergoing open-heart surgery.
The positive news came via twitter.

Viola was hired up by the Mets in January to serve as pitching coach for Triple-A Las Vegas after serving the same role for three years in Class A ball.
Viola reportedly hopes to return to coaching sometime this season.
