Baseball America has named Mets right-handed relief prospect Eric Hanholdas a “Helium” as part of their Prospect Hot Sheet for the week ending June 3, 2018.

In naming Hanhold as a Helium prospect, Baseball America said, “Hanhold, 24, sits at 95-98 mph with his fastball and mixes in a hard slider at 88-90 with late action to miss bats. After striking out 11.4 batters per nine innings in Double-A the first two months of the season, Hanhold received a promotion last week to Triple-A Las Vegas, putting him in position for a big league callup by the end of the year.”

The Mets acquired Hanhold as the player to be named later in the Neil Walker trade with the Brewers last year.

In Binghamton, Hanhold made 17 appearances pitching 25.1 innings going 3-1 with a eight saves, a 2.84 ERA, 1.184 WHIP, and an 11.4 K/9. Since joining the Las Vegas bullpen, he has struck out five batters in three innings.
