AUGUSTA 8, SAVANNAH 3

Game three of the three game series between the Savannah Sand Gnats and the Augusta GreenJackets was played in front of 1,643 fans Wednesday night at Grayson Stadium.

In the third inning, Augusta sent 12 batters to the plate and erupted for eight runs on five hits and four base on balls and one costly Savannah error. A single by shortstop Christian Arroyo plated two runs; a double by third baseman Leonardo Rojas drove in a pair of runs, and center fielder Cristian Paulino also drove in two runs.

Savannah scored their three runs in the 6th inning when catcher Colton Plaia walked, advanced to second on a ground out, and scored on a single by shortstop Gavin Cecchini. Right fielder Victor Cruzado reached base on an error and left fielder Jared King walked to load the bases, followed by a single L.J. Mazzilli to drive in two runs.
