In his professional career, Luis Guillorme‘s calling card has been his defense. When he’s at his best, he’s a human highlight reel in the middle infield. Tonight, Guillorme pulled off what might’ve been his biggest highlight reel play:

Guillorme made a great read on the Jason Martin drag bunt, and he would throw the ball between his legs to ensure he got the out. Not to be outdone on the play, Dilson Herrera in just 22nd professional game at first base made the impressive stretch.
This would be the last out Anthony Kay recorded in what was another step forward for the Mets top pitching prospect.
Guillorme would back up the defensive gem with a strong day at the plate going 2-for-2 with a run, RBI, and two walks. Unfortunately, his magic in the field and his reaching bass safely four times wasn’t enough to help Syracuse pull out the victory.
