The Scottsdale Scorpions fell to the Glendale Desert Dogs by a 4-3 score yesterday, but Mets prospect Matt Oberste is starting to heat up after going hitless in his first seven games.

Oberste, 25, went 1 for 3 with a double and an RBI in the Scorpions loss while playing first base. He’s now gone 6 for 16 with two doubles and three runs batted in over his last four games. Oberste has boosted his slash line up to .146/.159/.195 with his four-game hitting streak.

Mets outfield prospect Champ Stuart continues cool off with a 0 for 4 night and a strikeout, but he did throw out a runner at home. Stuart, 24, is 2 for his last 16 with nine strikeouts in his last four games. Despite the rough patch he is still slashing .305/.339/.424 with eight stolen bases. In 16 games, he has struck out 20 times and walked only thrice.

David Roseboom, 24, retired both batters he faced and lowered his ERA to 0.87 in 10.1 innings. In the Arizona Fall League he has allowed one earned run on four hits, eight walks, and 15 strikeouts.

Monday begins the last week of the AFL season with the championship game being played on Saturday the 19th.
