The farm system is deep. We had about 10 writers rank the top 30 prospects and a countdown of that list starts tomorrow with the players ranked No. 26 through No. 30. Below are nine who landed just outside the cut.

LHP Felipe De La Cruz

B/T: L/L Age: 24 Ht: 6-0 Wt: 160 Acquired: Signed out of the Dominican Republic in 2021

2025 Stats: 5.04 ERA, 1.37 WHIP, 90 strikeouts, 32 walks, 64 1/3 innings pitched, 33 games, six starts

De La Cruz has steadily climbed up the minor leagues since the Mets signed him, posting excellent strikeout numbers at every level. He fanned 58 in 39 2/3 innings at Double-A Binghamton last year and after getting promoted to Triple-A Syracuse, he struck out nine over six scoreless innings and was named International League Pitcher of the Week. But in 15 games at Syracuse (24 2/3 innings) he pitched to a 7.30 ERA and gave up five home runs. He surrendered seven earned runs in 8 1/3 innings pitched in the Dominican Winter League this offseason.

2B-SS-3B Jeremy Rodriguez

B/T: L/R Age: 19 Ht: 6-0 Wt: 170 Acquired: Via trade with Arizona for Tommy Pham in 2023

2025 Stats: .202/.304/.236, one HR, 34 steals, 492 plate appearances

Hopes were higher for Rodriguez after he posted a .755 OPS in 50 games of Rookie Ball in 2024. He took a step backward with the bat last year at Low-A St. Lucie, his slash line dropping across the board. But the speed is for real and he is still just 19 years old.

RHP Joander Suarez

B/T: R/R Age: 24 Ht: 6-3 Wt: 253 Acquired: Signed out of Venezuela in 2018

2025 Stats: 3.76 ERA, 1.05 WHIP, 93 strikeouts, 17 walks, 93 1/3 innings pitched, 23 games, 18 starts

For the second straight season, Suarez performed well at Binghamton (3.05 ERA, 82 2/3 innings), where he spent the vast majority of the season. But then scuffled in a short stint at Syracuse (11 earned runs in 10 2/3 innings). He has been in the Mets system for seven seasons, but the 2020 season was canceled due to Covid and he lost a year to Tommy John surgery.

RHP Douglas Orellana

B/T: R/R Age: 23 Ht: 6-1 Wt: 196 Acquired: Signed out of Venezuela in 2021

2025 Stats: 2.96 ERA, 1.34 WHIP, 63 strikeouts, 30 walks, 51 2/3 innings pitched, 41 games

Like Suarez, Orellana was excellent at Binghamton (1.64 ERA, 46 strikeouts, 33 innings pitched) before having a rough patch during his brief period in Syracuse (11 earned runs in 18 2/3 innings). Scouts say his best pitch is his slider and his fastball averages 93-96 mph and can touch 98 mph. He also mixes in a curveball.

C Daiverson Gutierrez

B/T: R/R Age: 20 Ht: 5-11 Wt: 206 Acquired: Signed out of Venezuela in 2023

2025 Stats: .242/.362/.309, four HR, six steals, 395 plate appearances

The Mets signed Gutierrez for $1.9 million in 2023 and his progress has come in fits and starts. He posted a .565 OPS in the Dominican Summer League in 2023. Then he mashed in the DSL (.947 OPS) in 2024, earning promotions to the Rookie Ball Florida Complex League and then St. Lucie late in that season. He spent all of 2025 at St. Lucie and profiles as a line drive hitter with an above-average arm behind the plate.

C-1B Josmir Reyes

B/T: L/R Age: 19 Ht: 6-0 Wt: 180 Acquired: Signed out of Venezuela in 2024

2025 Stats: .300/.426/.480, four HR, five steals, 190 plate appearances

Reyes showed great command of the strike zone in the Dominican Summer League last season, walking 34 times and striking out just 15. He played 24 games at catcher, 11 games at first base was the DH 14 times. He threw out 16 of 58 runners trying to steal (28 percent).

RHP Joel Díaz

B/T: R/R Age: 21 Ht: 6-2 Wt: 208 Acquired: Signed out of the Dominican Republic in 2021

2025 Stats: 3.80 ERA, 1.23 WHIP, 98 strikeouts, 25 walks, 106 2/3 innings pitched, 25 games, 18 starts

Scouts loved him in 2021 after an incredible showing as a 17-year-old in the Dominican Summer League (three earned runs over 50 1/3 innings for a 0.54 ERA). Baseball America named him the No. 3 sleeper pitching prospect in the DSL. But he pitched to a 5.86 ERA in 2022 for St. Lucie and Tommy John surgery wiped out his 2023. He struck out 8.3 batters per nine innings last season, down from a career-best 11.3 before the surgery.

RHP Cam Tilly

B/T: R/R Age: 21 Ht: 6-2 Wt: 207 Acquired: 2025 MLB draft, 7th round

2025 Stats: 5.48 ERA, 1.35 WHIP, 58 strikeouts, 29 walks, 46 innings pitched, 19 games

The stats above are from his season at Auburn University, where he pitched for two years after excelling at Castle High School in Newburgh, Indiana. Tilly was selected to the U18 USA National Team while in high school. The Mets thought enough of Tilly to sign him for $397,500, almost $150,000 more than his slot value. His fastball sits in the mid-90s, tops out at 97 and he throws a slider, splitter and curve.

2B-SS-3B Trey Snyder

B/T: R/R Age: 20 Ht: 6-1 Wt: 197 Acquired: 2024 MLB draft, 5th round

2025 Stats: .220/.336/.288, five HR, 41 steals, 512 plate appearances

A year ago, Snyder was No. 16 on the MMO prospect list, but he missed the top-30 cut after hitting five home runs in 512 plate appearances in his first full season of pro ball. Snyder was selected 144th overall and signed for $1.3 million, nearly $900,000 over slot value. He was a prep star at shortstop for Liberty North (Missouri) HS, hitting .391 with seven homers and 22 steals as a senior. He struggled defensively in 2025.
