Altoona Curve @ Binghamton Mets, 6:35pm EST

Casey Sadler (9-5, 3.20 ERA) vs. Erik Goeddel (9-4, 3.75 ERA)

EAS League Scoreboard

Goeddel faces the Curve for the second straight start, and will be looking to break into double digits in the win column. He last took the mound on August 1st, allowing one run (no earned) on three hits, one walk, and five strikeouts in 6.1 innings pitched, getting the no decision. This will be his ninth start in front of the home crowd at NYSEG Stadium, and the righty is 3-2 with a 3.46 ERA and .214 opponent batting average.

Domingo Tapia (2-7, 4.29 ERA) vs. Robby Rowland (3-10, 5.42 ERA)

FSL League Scoreboard

Tapia has lost his last two starts, and isn’t able to get on a roll at all this season. His last start came on July 30th against Tampa. While it was the first time he’d gotten out of the second inning since July 9th, he allowed four runs on four hits, two walks, and five strikeouts in six innings pitched. The right-hander was able to harness his control a little bit, but has still walked 45 hitters in 79.2 innings pitched this season, which comes out to a 5.1 BB/9.

Charlotte River Dogs @ Savannah Sand Gnats, 7:05pm EST

Dan Camarena (3-6, 4.56 ERA) vs. Marcos Camarena (5-1, 1.85 ERA)

SAL League Scoreboard

As far as I know, there is no relation between these two. Who knows, though; I could be wrong. Marcos earned a no decision on August 1st against Greenville, and came within an out of getting his fourth straight quality start. He allowed two runs (one earned) on seven hits (one homer), three walks, and four strikeouts in 5.2 innings pitched. It was the first time Camarena walked anyone since his July 2nd start against Hickory- a span of 24.1 innings.

Connecticut Tigers @ Brooklyn Cyclones, 11:00am EST

TBD vs. Robert Gsellman (2-2, 2.09 ERA)

NYPL Scoreboard

Gsellman’s superb first half for the ‘Clones earned him a spot in the NYPL All-Star game with four of his Brooklyn teammates. He won his second straight start on August 1st against Williamsport, allowing four runs (three earned) on seven hits (one homer), one walk, and four strikeouts in six innings pitched. It was the fourth straight time Gsellman has pitched into the sixth inning, after only doing it once in his first four starts.

Noel De La Cruz (3-2, 4.01 ERA) vs. Yoan Gonzalez (2-3, 4.33 ERA)

APP League Scoreboard

Gonzalez continued to struggle with his control in his last start on July 31st against Elizabethton. He allowed two runs on four hits, four walks, and four strikeouts in four innings pitched. In five starts in 2013, he’s thrown more than four innings just once. In his last two starts, he’s thrown 11 innings pitched, but has also allowed eight walks.
