As of 9:00am EST today, here are today’s Mets minor league starting pitchers:

Las Vegas 51s @ Nashville Sounds, 8:05pm EST
Chris Schwinden (4-9, 6.03 ERA) vs. TBD
It looked like Schwinden was starting to turn his season around toward the end of June/early July, but he’s reverted back to how he was performing at the start of the season. His last start came on July 26th against Sacramento, and he allowed only three runs on four hits (one homer), but three walks and three strikeouts in just four innings pitched. He’ll look for some kind of consistency tonight against Nashville. In two starts since the All-Star break, Schwinny has thrown eight innings, compiling a 10.13 ERA and a .324 opponent batting average.
Binghamton Mets @ Altoona Curve, 7:00pm EST
Darin Gorski (3-1, 2.48 ERA) vs. Jameson Taillon (4-7, 3.76 ERA)
Gorski took his first loss in Double-A this season July 25th against Trenton, but he was the hard luck loser against the Thunder. The right-hander offered a complete game effort, allowing two runs on three hits (one homer), one walk, and six strikeouts. He’ll be looking to finish the month of July on a high note; he’s currently 2-1 with a 2.84 ERA, 22 strikeouts, eight walks, and a .149 opponent batting average in 25.1 innings pitched.
Tampa Yankees @ St. Lucie Mets, 6:30pm EST
Jairo Heredia (0-0, 2.08 ERA) vs. Matthew Bowman (6-2, 2.42 ERA)
Bowman put together a solid outing in his last start on July 26th against Lakeland. The right-hander got the win by allowing five hits, one walk, and four strikeouts in six shutout innings. Bowman has put up some impressive numbers through 18 starts (112.1 innings pitched) between Savannah and St. Lucie. He has a 2.48 ERA, while allowing 92 hits and 27 walks to go with 104 strikeouts.
Savannah Sand Gnats @ Asheville Tourists, 7:05pm EST
Gabriel Ynoa (11-4, 3.03 ERA) vs. Jayson Aquino (0-3, 3.86 ERA)
Ynoa put forth his second straight underwhelming outing on July 26th against Augusta, but did get the win. He allowed four runs on 10 hits, no walks, and three strikeouts in five innings pitched. It was the second straight start he’s allowed 10 hits to the opposition, and has seen batters collect 20 hits over his most recent 10 innings pitched. This has been the toughest month of the year for Ynoa; he has a 4.24 ERA and .330 opponent batting average in 23.1 innings pitched.
Brooklyn Cyclones @ Williamsport Crosscutters, 7:05pm EST
Dario Alvarez (1-2, 4.30 ERA) vs. TBD
It was a shame Alvarez didn’t come out of his July 24th start against Lowell with a decision, because he deserved to win. He allowed only one hit and one walk with 12 strikeouts over six shutout innings of work. It was by far his most dominant outing of the season, as it was the first time he threw more than five innings in a game, and it was the first time he struck out more than five hitters in an appearance.
Kingsport Mets @ Elizabethton Twins, 7:00pm EST
Yoan Gonzalez (2-3, 4.30 ERA) vs. Yorman Landa (3-1, 1.20 ERA)
Gonzalez earned his second win of the season on July 26th against Bristol. The left-hander allowed three runs, four walks, and five strikeouts in seven shutout innings of work. If it wasn’t for the four walks, it would have really been a great start. However, it was still impressive that no one scored on his watch since he let nine base runners aboard, and he lasted as long as he did in the contest.
GCL Mets @ GCL Marlins, 12:00pm EST
The Mets finish the month of July by taking on the Marlins. The probable starters haven’t been announced yet.
