Mets Minors 2023 Updated Top 30 Prospects

With the promotions of Francisco Álvarez, Brett Batyand Mark Vientos coupled with the trade deadline and, the New York Mets farm system has been completely revamped. Between the new players and breakout seasons, here is MMN’s updated top 30 prospects

Right off the bat, we notice four (Acuña, Gilbert, Clifford, Vargas) of the Mets top ten prospects, including the top two, were acquired at the trade deadline. Overall, eight (Jarvis, Hernandez, Crow, Jackson) of the Mets top 30 prospects include players acquired at the trade deadline.

The Mets have been renown for their drafting abilities, and we see it here with 16 of their top 30 prospects being draft picks. That includes all three first rounders from the past two drafts (Parada, Williams, Houck). The remaining six players were international free agents.

There are eight prospects in short season rookie ball. There are seven players in Single-A (St. Lucie – 1, Brooklyn – 6). There are nine prospects with Double-A Binghamton. There are two in Syracuse with Mauricio recently promoted to the majors. There are three prospects currently not playing with an affiliate at the moment.

In addition to the aforementioned prospects, there are additional prospects who note who did just miss our top 30 rankings. Those prospects include OF Willy Fañas (FCL), LHP Nate Lavender (Syracuse), INF Diego Mosquera (St. Lucie), and INF Luke Ritter (Syracuse).
