Tacoma Rainiers 4 (Seattle), Las Vegas 51s 0 (61-70) Box Score

Rainiers lefties mowed down the 51s. (Side Note: Mets, please acquire Pat Venditte from the Mariners, I’ve always wanted a switch pitcher).

Binghamton Mets 9 (60-67), Hartford Yard Goats 1 (Colorado) Box Score

That was Oberste’s 9th home run of the year, Rosario’s 21st and 22nd double, and Dominic Smith‘s 27th double of the year. Champ Stuart, and Xorge Carrillo also recorded multi hit games.

Knapp has been very good overall this year going 13-5 with a 2,50 ERA and 1.14 WHIP.

Charlotte Stone Crabs 3 (Tampa Bay), St. Lucie Mets 2 (65-58) Box Score

Nido is 0 for his last 10, and is not playing as often to conserve his health.

High-A is more Delgado’s speed.

Columbia Fireflies 5 (60-68), Charleston RiverDogs 0 (Yankees) Box Score

Winningham hit his 10th homer. The Fireflies struck out 12 times.

  • Kevin Canelon LHP 7 IP, 2 H, 5 K 3.32 ERA

Canelon has been solid for the Fireflies, with a fastball in the high-80’s to low 90’s.

Brooklyn Cyclones 2 (32-31), Mahoning Valley Scrappers 1 (Cincinnati) Box Score

Dimino hit a walk-off single in the 11th. Lindsay has a 15/16 BB/K ratio.

The 24-year old Jacobson has pitched 11 scoreless innings and has struck out 12 in two starts in Brooklyn.

Johnson City Cardinals 10, Kingsport Mets 9 (19-39) Box Score

31st round senior sign Wolf has been the best hitter down the stretch for the Kingsport Mets. Rasquin was 2 for his last 21 before collecting a 2-hit game. The team committed four errors.

The 20 year old Venezuelan has struck out 40 in 36 innings, but has allowed 41 hits.

Kingsport Mets 15 (20-39) Johnson City Cardinals 2 Box Score

Rasquin has a great day at the plate. Looks like Cespedes is being platooned with Ian Strom (I do not advocate this!). Cecilio Aybar, and Reed Gamache both homered while Jose Miguel Medina and Maria both doubled.

Both lefties have been impressive in Kingsport, especially Torres, who has started this year.

GCL Cardinals 7, GCL Mets 4 (22-37) Box Score

Hernandez and Adon have both had rough years, but you should keep a close eye on them as they climb the ladder. Both have some big potential. Rough day at the office for the pitchers, so i’m going to skip that.

DSL Pirates 5, DSL Mets1 4 (41-26) Box Score <—-Game was postponed the day before in the 5th inning

Gimenez continues to be useful even in a game where he went 0-for-3. Guerrero was moved to 6th in the order.

The 18-year old Acosta pitched well until the game was suspended. A younger Luis Mateo gave up four runs in the 8th inning to lose the game for the D-Mets.

DSL Mets1 2 (42-26), DSL Pirates 1 Box Score

Gimenez was pulled in the bottom of the 2nd, doubt we’ll see why. Valdez is having a decent year, and his power should develop as climbs the system.

Santana throws in the mid-90’s but hasn’t been taken stateside, he’s an older arm feasting on younger competition.

DSL Astros Orange 6, DSL Mets2 4 (18-48) Box Score <— Game continued from Monday

Pujols is having a pretty good year.

Taveras is an 18 year old with a 89-92 MPH Fastball and has a decent changeup working for him.

DSL Mets2 3 (19-48), DSL Astros Orange 1 Box Score

DSL Mets actually won another game. Congrats to them.

Martinez threw in the high-80’s and touched 91 in this outing.
