The Columbia Fireflies continue to score the most runs in the Mets system averaging an amazing 5.44 runs per game while having back-to-back 13 run games against Greenville recently. Not be outdone were the St. Lucie Mets who scored 15 and 14 runs in consecutive games over the last week.

Who’s Hot

Dilson HerreraLas Vegas 51s

Over his last nine games the talented second baseman has hit .389/.421/.806 with his first four home runs of the season and eight runs batted in. Seems like Dilson is finally 100% healthy after a sore shoulder plagued him to start the season. The offensive outburst has raised his season slash line to .301/.327/.515 in 27 games.

At this point you would be shocked if the outfielder didn’t make this list after what has been unbelievable start to his St. Lucie career. All he’s done over his last ten games is go 20 for 39 with eight multi-hit games. He is now hitting .415 on the season which trails only fellow Met minor league Ty Kelly in all of baseball.

Kevin TaylorSt. Lucie Mets

He is currently riding a 10-game hitting streak and has seven straight games in which he has exactly two hits. During his hitting streak he is batting .543 with seven walks compared to only five strikeouts. The 24-year old is not batting .386/.494/.571 with 15 runs and 11 RBI in 20 games.

Phillip EvansBinghamton Mets

Who’s Not

John MoraSt. Lucie Mets

It has been a season long struggle for the left-handed hitting outfielder who has just a .615 OPS for the season. Despite knocking in five runs over his last seven games he has gone 4 for 25 in that span (.160/.241/.200) with a double for his lone extra base hit.

L.J. MazzilliBinghamton Mets

Another Mets prospect that has struggled the entire year (.591 OPS in 28 games) but has been even colder as of late. During his last 11 games he is only 6 for 35 with only one extra base hit (double) and has now gone 118 straight minor league games without a home run.

Matt ReynoldsLas Vegas 51s

The infielder is going through a brutal 10-game stretch in which he has gone 6 for 40 with 15 strikeouts and just one walk. His season slash line is now down to .246/.306/.377 and he has struck out 32 times in 29 games.

Vicente LupoColumbia Fireflies

The playing time has been limited for the 22-year old outfielder and he hasn’t made a case for anymore in the near future with a .592 season OPS. In his last seven games he has more strikeouts (13) than he does hits (4) and is hitting .174 overall for the season.

Xorge CarrilloBinghamton Mets

Returning to the Eastern League has not been kind to Carrillo who has found himself losing playing time to Colton Plaia. He is 7 for 39 (.179/.200/.256) with eight strikeouts in his last ten games and has walked only once all season in 69 plate appearances.
