Mets Minors News: BA and FanGraphs Update Rankings

Baseball America revealed their mid-season Top 100 Prospects, and three Mets made the list: ‘

SS Andres Gimenez, No. 31

SS Ronny Mauricio, No. 78

LHP Anthony Kay, No. 89

Gimenez has fallen from his original No. 24 ranking to start the season for Baseball America. Kay is on his first Top 100 list following a great start to the season in Double-A Binghamton. He will make his Syracuse Mets debut on  Mauricio, 18, continues to climb up rankings after he hit well in Columbia to start the season.

Fangraphs also updated their prospect rankings, and like Baseball America, saw three Mets prospects on their list:

SS Ronny Mauricio, No. 39

SS Andres Gimenez, No. 49

3B Mark Vientos, No. 88

Mauricio and Gimenez each get more love, and Mark Vientos cracks the list. This is the first publication to have the young Mauricio over Gimenez.

MetsMerized’s Gianna Arantes interviewed the team’s second round pick Josh Wolf, who indicated that he intends to sign with the Mets.

The Brooklyn Cyclones released their 2019 Opening Day Roster, which features nine 2019 draft picks, and a handful of returning players.
