Due to the New York Mets signing Brad Brach, the Mets have optioned LHP Donnie Hart to Triple-A Syracuse and placed OF Brandon Nimmo on the 60 day IL.

Hart was claimed off waivers by the Mets from the Milwaukee Brewers on August 3. He appeared in one game pitching a scoreless inning. Overall on the season, Hart has made five appearances between the Brewers and Mets allowing no runs on four hits and four walks with three strikeouts in 7.2 innings.

In other Mets news Syracuse Mets LHP Ryan O’Rourke was released. He made two scoreless appearances for the Mets this year allowing no hits, walking three, and striking out one in 1.1 innings. O’Rourke made 36 appearances for Syracuse going 2-3 with a 3.27 ERA, two saves, 1.409 ERA, 4.7 BB/9, and a 9.6 K/9.
