Mets Minors Weekly Review: Numbers 15-11 In Top 80

Mets baseball is back and they now have a winning streak after being the Atlanta Braves yesterday 7-5 behind a strong start from Sean Gilmartin. They are back at it today with two games on the docket, Bartolo Colon starting against the Tigers and Steven Matz vs. the Cardinals. Get your split screens ready because both games on are MLB.tv.

A week ago today the Mets signed right-handed pitcher Joseph Zanghi to a minor league deal. I talked to Joseph over the weekend and will post the interview this week.

We began our draft coverage as Teddy Klein profiled Alex Speas who is a high school pitcher from Georgia.

I recapped the Mets intrasqaud game where Juan Lagares, T.J. Rivera and Dilson Herrera all hit homeruns.

Baseball America ranked their top 56 shortstop prospects with the Mets having a league leading six in the first 50.

The Brooklyn Cyclones announced their promotions for the season with two awesome ones of note, giving away 1986 World Champs jerseys and hosting a Full House tribute night. You can read the details here.

Our own Jacob Resnick is in Port St. Lucie right now, he reported that Mets 2015 draft pick David Thompson was getting in some work at first base.
