With the Mets regular season coming to an unfortunate conclusion last night we will start giving you daily coverage of the Winter Leagues and the Arizona Fall League.

Note that these are just the initial names that we’ve found so there will be more to come and we will update the list as needed. Some of the younger players like Enmanuel Zabala and Jose Carlos Medina will likely be placed on their perspective teams reserve roster which allows them to play in the second tier league.

Mexican League

Naranjeros de Hermosillo

Aguilas De Mexicali

Tomateros de Culiacan

  • Jose Carlos Medina (LHP)

The beginning of the Mexican Winter League will be on October 11th.

Dominican League

Estrellas de Orientales

Escogido Campeon

Aguilas Cibaenas

Dominican League will get it’s season officially started on October 20th with some teams playing exhibition games next week.

Venezuelan League

Cardenales de Lara

Tiburones de La Guaira

Tigres de Aragua

Navegantes de Magallanes

The Venezuelan League gets underway tonight.

Bravos de Margarita

Puerto Rican League

Indios de Mayaguez

The Roberto Clemente League will being it’s season on October 27th.

One important name to note that’s missing is Mets top prospect Amed Rosario who the Aguilas Cibaenas of the Dominican League were counting on to be their starting shortstop this year. The Mets have decided to deny Rosario permission to play so he will sit on the Cibaenas reserve list which can be revisited in December if the Mets change their mind.

Wilmer Flores normally plays for the Bravos de Margarita of the Venezuelan League but that won’t happen this year with his impending wrist surgery.

It will be interesting to see if Juan Lagares plays for the Cibaenas after getting only 142 at-bats this season. He has played for the Cibaenas in six of the last eight winter ball seasons.
