With spring training dwindling down, the New York Mets made multiple roster moves in the minor leagues over the last couple of days. The minor league season kicks off for the Mets on March 29, with Triple-A Syracuse hosting the Rochester Red Wings.
Players put on the 60-day injured list:
- RHP Dylan Tebrake
- RHP Matt Allan
- RHP Raimon Gomez
- RHP Robert Dominguez
- RHP Zebulon Vermillion
- RHP Chris Santiago
- RHP Ricardo Baptist
- RHP Brian Metoyer
Allan, the Mets’ third round pick in 2019, hasn’t pitched in a game since 2019.
Players put on the full-season injured list:
- RHP Jace Beck
- LHP Eli Ankeney
- RHP John Valle
- RHP Landon Marceaux
- LHP Luis R. Rodriguez
Beck (38.5%) and Ankeney (29.3%) both posted impressive strikeout numbers last season. The Mets acquired Marceaux last June when they sent veteran infielder Eduardo Escobar to the Angels. Rodriguez, a hard thrower, is ranked as the Mets’ No. 32 prospect, per our most recent list.
