The Mets have officially resigned veteran reliever Kyle Farnsworth to a minor-league deal.

This news comes three days after the Mets released Farnsworth.

This new deal saves the Mets from paying Farnsworth a $100,000 retention bonus, and ESPN’s Adam Rubin reports that it is believed to include an out if Farnsworth is not on the big-league team by May.
