The Mets announced after their 5-3 loss to the Pirates on Monday, that hitting coach Dave Hudgens was fired and minor league hitting coordinator, Lamar Johnson will be his replacement.

Johnson has been with the organization longer than Sandy Alderson, and now he is given the opportunity to help turn this season around and motivate the Mets sluggers to start producing and start helping the team win ball games.
